The AI-Ready badge: show that your business is prepared for AI

The AI-Ready badge carries one honest message to your visitors and partners: this website has been measured by AI-Map across seven dimensions, and it meets the AI-readiness standard. Not a promise — a measured, dated state, and a visible head start over everyone who hasn't begun.

AI-Ready — audited by AI-Map, 2026
The 2026 AI-Ready badge. We re-measure every year, and the date is on the seal.

What does the badge mean?

It certifies that your website was rated on evidence, not assumptions. We checked whether AI crawlers can reach the site, whether a machine understands who you are, what you offer and where; whether a standalone, quotable answer can be lifted from your content; and whether your name, address and phone match everywhere. A business wearing the badge has already done that work.

There is real measurement behind the badge. Every certification is dated and rests on the same seven-dimension rubric we use for competitor comparisons. No estimates, no marketing promises.

What does the badge NOT mean?

This is where staying honest matters most. The badge is not a guarantee that ChatGPT or Gemini will recommend you. Readiness is the technical foundation — the opened door — but recommendations are driven mostly by review volume, brand age and independent, external mentions. The badge says "this business is ready," not "AI picks this business." We explain that distinction in full in the methodology and in GEO score ≠ AI recommendation.

What does AI-readiness measure?

Seven weighted dimensions sit behind the badge. Technical signals matter, but the heaviest weight is on external presence — because that is what actually decides who the machine names.

  • Reachability & crawlability (20%) — can the AI crawler reach the site at all, and is the content visible without JavaScript.
  • Structured data (15%) — does the site identify itself machine-readably: organisation, address, offering, related links.
  • Answer-ready content (15%) — can a standalone, quotable answer be lifted, or does it get lost in long copy.
  • Entity & NAP consistency (15%) — do name, address and phone match everywhere, so the model doesn't confuse you with another business.
  • External presence (25%) — is the business talked about elsewhere: reviews, directories, independent mentions, press. This is the heaviest weight.
  • E-E-A-T signals (5%) — is credibility visible: HTTPS, a named author, legal pages, cited sources.
  • Content depth (5%) — is there substantive, on-topic content, linked together across key pages.

Why does it matter right now?

Because these layers don't build in a week. The technical part can be fixed in days, answer-ready content takes months, and external reputation is half a year to a year of patient work. Whoever starts today will have a finished foundation by the time customers fully switch to asking AI. Whoever waits can't buy that time back. The badge isn't decoration: it shows the business moved in time and didn't fall behind.

Honestly: a brand-new site cannot top the chart on external presence overnight — we own that openly about our own site too. The badge doesn't certify perfection; it certifies that the business is working on its readiness deliberately and measurably.

How do you earn the badge?

Three steps, starting with no risk. First, a free mini-check shows where you stand today. Then a full audit scores the site across the seven dimensions and hands you a prioritised, vendor-independent plan. When the fixes bring the site up to the readiness standard, you receive the AI-Ready badge and its embed code — along with next year's re-measurement. Details on the process page; prices on pricing.

For badge holders: embed code

Once you've earned the badge, drop this code into your site footer or your "about" page. The badge links back to this page, where anyone can read what it means.
